Construction Photos

Progress through completion of room prep, September 2001:

Breaking in the new digital camera...

The room has received its final coat of wall paint and the floor awaits painting. View is from the outside corner of the "L" looking along the long side of the room (24'). The white object taped to the wall on a red background is an N scale 50' box car, to give you a concept of the size of the room. The car is fairly close to where VIEW interlocking will be. A hanging ceiling will be installed once the exact footprint of the top level is known, and the fascia then installed.

A view looking somewhat towards the door as was done in an earlier photo during the studding stage.

A view from the top of the "L" on the inside. The 50' box car now hangs on the wall approximately where the Harrisburg station will go. Note the new use of the retired baby high chair!

A view from the top of the "L" from the outside reveals quite a bit of storage cleanup to be dealt with. However, the alcove, or foot of the "L", will be the last place where layout construction will take place.

A view of the finished room. One helix will be located in the far right corner behind the four storage boxes (which are full of material to be scanned and posted on "Keystone Crossings"!).
