F40 #470250 was a one-of-a-kind depressed center flat car built at Altoona in October 1954 per a request from General Electric to transport six large turbines from Schenectady, New York to Madison, Indiana.

The car had a capacity of 250 tons and had a well measuring 30'0" by 8'10". It rode on four Buckeye six wheel trucks.
