American Viscose Company

1930s aerial imagery shows a rail-served quarry at this location. It may be important to note that the quarry is flooded.

On the Mifflin County Memories FaceBook page, it was indicated that the "Viscose dumped the 'lead nestings' from renovated spinning machines and also dumped truckloads of 'fly ash' from the coal stack pits."

Today, Krentzman & Sons has a scrap yard at the location and all evidence of the original quarry is filled in.
