Calculation of Seniority:
The owner of the railroad always has seniority!
Employes earn one point of seniority for each operating session in which they participate.
Bonus seniority points may be awarded by the general manager for labor tendered in the construction of the railroad.
In cases of tied seniority, seniority is awarded alphabetically by surname, on a rotating basis (as applied).
Code of Conduct:
The Pennsylvania Railroad, Eastern Region, reserves the right to deny or cease employment of individuals with or without cause;
Employees are encouraged to participate in the railroad's construction and maintenance, not just in its operations.
The railroad encourages employees to participate on their own time via take-home projects. Examples include installation of Micro-Trains couplers, kit assembly, etc. The employee is not expected to incur any financial expense.
Employees may operate personal rolling stock on the railroad, but it must be tested at a work session and not at an operating session. All personal rolling stock left must be registered with the railroad.
