Disposition of Assets
For reasons cited elsewhere, the Eastern Region is coming down and its rolling stock and locomotive assets are being dissolved. The rolling stock and locomotives are in very good condition and are being offered at or below dealer cost.
You can view the roster to see what is in the collection. This roster is not complete; nor will it be maintained as items are sold off. A few notes:
Over 500 freight rolling stock items, consisting mostly of InterMountain, Atlas, and MicroTrains;
- Over 50 passenger cars, consisting mostly of Centralia Car Shops;
- Over 100 locomotives, consisting mostly of Atlas, InterMountain, Precision Craft Models, and Life Like. Over 50% have been converted to DCC;
- BRASS!!! Key Imports J1a #6489, T1 #6111 (sold), I1sa #1126, I1sa #3720 (sold), and a pair of custom painted Hallmark Centipedes (DCC) (sold) (Photograph courtesy of Lee Weldon). I will accept inquiries on these... from serious buyers only;
- A few Digitrax items, such as BDL168 occupancy detection boards and DB150 boosters;
- The fully-sceniced and operational Sherman's Creek module;
- Eventually, once removed, Atlas code 55 track and turnouts.
So how do you get a chance to purchase this stuff?
About half of the collection will be available at the February show in Timonium, Md. The balance of the collection will be available at the April Timonium show and subsequently at the May PRRT&HS annual meeting in Camp Hill, Pa. All remaining items will be auctioned either on-site in June or via eBay.
All sales will be cash... no credit cards or checks. All sales will be final.
Please do not e-mail me with questions about any of the items for sale. If you are interested, please attend one of the sales venues noted.
Merchandise Service had also acquired several hundred items in anticipation of selling it to the PRR ER. These products are now available through the "clearance" link at the MS eStore at or near dealer cost. All are brand new and unopened.
