Construction on Jerry Britton's PRR Middle Division in HO Scale continues on, and ahead, of schedule.
Three tasks were scheduled for the quarter and were completed ahead of schedule. They included the west end of Burnham, where the freight and passenger stations were located; Menzies, where the line bisects Kishacoquillas Park; and Mill Creek, a staging connector on the protolanced Pennsylvania Midland.
Remaining time was spent on expanding the capactity of Enola/Harrisburg staging, now 61% complete, and Altoona staging, now at 63% complete.
Looking forward to Q3, the primary task will be completion of a 2.5 lap helix between the intermediate level and the top level. An outer track will carry the Milroy Secondary and an inner track will carry a segment of the Pennsylvania Midland. This will be the second use of a pre-fab helix kit from Ashlin Designs.
