On the PRR Middle Division in HO Scale, the Chief Engineer has delivered his Q4 construction report.

It was mentioned last week that construction goals for the quarter were not met, for the first time in several years. That sent shares spiraling by 8%. The root cause was a delay in bridge parts from a new supplier in Milwaukee [Walthers], causing various projects to be rescheduled.

Shares returned to normal upon revelation of numerous unexpected infrastructure upgrades including yard lighting and main power panel upgrades. The chief engineer is also pleased to report that yards at Enola, Harrisburg, and Altoona have been fully completed and are currently undergoing quality assurance testing.

 

Meanwhile, word has leaked of working, scale dwarf position light signals coming in the near future (depicted above) from a supplier south of the border.

The schedule for Q1 and Q2 of 2016 are somewhat fluid. Eyes are on a critical date in May when the line will be inspected by delegates of the PRRT&HS. Prior to that event, Milroy (3912) and Lewistown (3902) must be made operational. 

It is hoped that grading will also take place at numerous locations along the line.
