The Chief Engineer reports substantial progress this quarter.

All QC issues previously reported on the Milroy Secondary have been remediated. The secondary is ready for another QC session.

All switch machines have been installed in the Lewistown Yard and are ready for cabling to be installed. There is one troublesome switch machine and two shorts remaining to be remedied.

Third quarter's major project will be the control panel in the yard pit. The only missing feature in the yard is a gauntlet track and track scale that will be built in the shop and then installed in place. Once completed, the yard will be ready for a QC session.

Meanwhile, a number of drawings and calendar tops have been placed into poster display sleeves and mounted on the back wall of the yard pit.

In the coming weeks a field trip to Lewistown is planned. Lewistown native Dan Cupper will be joining me and he will recount his memories as we photograph and measure many of the structures along the Lewistown Secondary.
