The PRR Middle Division in HO Scale is making progress on laying trackage through downtown Lewistown. This section will finally link the lower level -- the main line -- with the upper level -- the Milroy secondary.

An open house was held on November 5th as part of The Model Railroad Open House. The last guest was barely out the door when construction commenced!

The PRR Middle Division in HO scale held an open house on November 5, 2016, in support of National Model Railroad Month.

Above, I was pleased to welcome James Mattern, a fewllow "A Modelers Life" listener, to the event.

Jerry Britton's PRR Middle Division in HO Scale has scheduled a public open house on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. The address and map is available from The Model Railroad Open House web site, referenced below.

The model railroad depicts the Lewistown, Pa., area during the early 1950s. The four track Pennsy main line passes the Lewistown Junction station, behind which radiate out the Lewistown and Milroy secondaries.

Got many more backdrops installed on the PRR Middle Division in HO Scale today. All but about 10 feet are completed around the railroad. These are all color laser printed from documents sold by LARC Products.

The lead image is Ryde, which is west of Lewistown and east of Mt. Union. The Juniata River can be seen in the background. The mainline crosses the river just west (left) of Ryde.

The chief engineer of the Pennsylvania Railroad Middle Division in HO Scaleis please to provide this construction update to the management, employees, and stockholders.

As scheduled and previously reported, the Milroy Secondary portion of the Lewistown (LN) segment has been made operational.

Significant progress has been made in the development of centralized traffic control utilizing JMRA and CATS technologies.

I've had a few of my backdrops in place for a few years, but this month I am installing them en masse. I thought I would share the process.

There are a number of companies that have offered long backdrops on vinyl and other materials, but they tend to be very expensive. Over the past few years, a few companies have come out with CD's or DVD's of backdrops that you can print yourself. Though they require piecing together, the price is right!

Been a while since I posted a progress report on the PRR Middle Division. My only "track goal" for this quarter was to complete the Lewistown (LN) portion of the Milroy Secondary, which amounted to less than three feet of flex track. In the image above, I have installed subroadbed for a portion of the downtown Lewistown area. Just beyond my hand will be a wye where the Milroy Secondary veers off to the left and the S&L veers off to the right (into staging).

As another quarter comes to a close, I share this update on the PRR Middle Division in HO Scale.

This quarter brought the completion of suburban Lewistown (3902) on the Milroy Secondary. This section of the line required a somewhat complicated dual-span, angled bridge over the Kishacoquillas Creek near Electric Avenue. (Photo above.)
